Roview in Vietnam

Oct 12, 2022

The Vietnamese company ILTECH had the opportunity to carry out an inspection with the ROView in a typical Asian sewer. The two-hour operation enabled the company to check for any anomalies in the sewer, such as cracks in the walls, plugs or leaks.

The anomalies were made visible thanks to the ROView's innovative technology which, thanks to its light weight and wireless communication, enables the sewer to be viewed from an unprecedented angle.

Thanks to the ROView's capability, the inspection was able to efficiently detect anomalies in the sewers. The inspection, which takes less time than a pedestrian inspection, has recently saved ILTECH countless hours.

Inspection with ROView has enabled ILTECH to dispense with the need for sewer workers, thus eliminating the human risk. Human intervention in sewers has many drawbacks, as hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a dangerous gas for humans, as it is a fast-acting poison that impacts many bodily systems.

Naturally present in sludge and pipe deposits, hydrogen sulfide is released into the air during mixing. Because of their weight, the Stereo2 and ROView do not take part in sludge mixing, and therefore encounter pockets of H2S, a corrosive, toxic, highly flammable gas that is fatal if inhaled. It is therefore essential to carry out inspections with the ROView in order to avoid as many risks as possible.
